Dr Miranda graduated from Chamberlain University Medical School with a focus on Family Practice specializing in the treatment of Newborns, children, and adults. She also earned her Psychiatric and Mental Health doctorate from Liberty University, VA. Dr. Miranda Mbutambe DNP-FNP-BC PMHN-BC is a compassionate nurse practitioner specializing in family nursing, psychiatric, and mental health nursing.  Located in College Park, MD, she brings her knowledge to her role at Cityworld Urgent Care and Family Clinic. She is affiliated with Washington Hospital Center and works with Johns Hopkins Hospital Facilities. Dr. Miranda completed her associate degree at Montgomery College, Maryland, graduating with honors with induction into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Got her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Chamberlain University with honors with induction into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and her Doctorate in Psych and Mental Health Nursing. She is certified in Buprenorphine Waiver Certification by SAMSHA, HIV Certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, and Maryland Nurses Association. Miranda is fluent in English as well as French. She sees adults, adolescents, and pediatric patients for varied medical reasons, including urgent care issues, arthritis, asthma, anxiety, dehydration, and anorexia, depression, anxiety, addiction, Preop Clearances, Weight Loss Management, Physicals, STD,s Testing/Treatment, EKG, PAP Smears, Women’s Health, Allergy Testing, Men’s Health, Erectile Dysfunction, BP, DM2, Asthma, Arthritis, Psych and mental health problems, Blood draw and Labs, Car Accident Treatment/ Physiotherapy, all chronic and acute illnesses,etc. She is proactive and supportive and believes in delivering appropriate care to each patient. She concentrates on providing better healthcare and enhanced patient satisfaction.

Dr. Miranda strives to treat each patient to the best of her ability while ensuring that both patients and their loved ones comprehend the different possible methods of treatment. She looks forward to providing her patients with the proper tools and advice they need to improve or maintain their overall health.
